This from Sky News yesterday who spoke with Santos about their coal seam gas project in the Pilliga State Forest. Matthew Doman, Santos spokesperson, told Sky News that following Santos’ acquisition of Eastern Star Gas late last year, all of ESG’s operations, including that in the Pilliga, are under review. Doman notes that Santos does expect to continue to operate in the Pilliga State Forest, but that the company did not expect to drill as many wells as ESG’s original plans set out (1,100).
